  2. 2008 Agricola de Borja Borsao Campo de Borja

    $ 5.99

    "This firm red offers ripe black cherry and boysenberry fruit, backed by notes of smoke, mineral and herb. The tannins are well-integrated, and floral and smoke notes linger. Drink now through 2013." 89 points - Wine Spectator, October 21, 2009 "The 2008 Borsao is a blend of 80% Garnacha and 20% Tempranillo. Purple-colored with an expressive aromatic array of black cherry and blackberry, this well-balanced, lengthy effort is another terrific value from Bodegas Borsao." 88 points - Jay Miller for Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, Issue 183

    Sold by: B-21 from USA

  3. 2007 Este de Bodegas Alto Almanzora (Vino de Mesa)

    $ 7.99

    There are 10,000 cases of Alto AlmanzoraÂ’s 2007 Este, a blend of 45% Monastrell, 25% Tempranillo, and the balance Syrah, Garnacha, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is sourced from the little-known DO of Almeria located in eastern Andalucia in the south-east of Spain. The wine was aged for six months in French and American oak. Deep purple in color (remarkably dense for its humble price), it offers up a kinky, full-blown nose of smoke, spice box, and wild blueberry. Ripe, succulent, and layered, this bargain-priced, hedonistic effort totally over-delivers. Buy it by the palette load and drink it over the next three years. 90 Points, Robert Parkers' Wine Advocate, Issue 181.

    Sold by: B-21 from USA

  4. 2005 Quinta de Roriz Duoro Prazo

    $ 7.99

    "The 2005 Prazo de Roriz is another nice value, even with declining exchange rates. It is round and velvety, but with bite on the finish. It has modest depth, although it is quite acceptable for its second wine status. It seems a bit more backward than the 2004 was at a similar time, yet it evolves fairly quickly with air. It will be tasty and a crowd pleaser, fleshy, but tending to thin fast, and having a bright, crisp, flavorful finish. Drink now-2014." 88 points - Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, Issue 178 "This is an immediately accessible blend of five of the most highly regarded Douro varieties (tourigas nacional and franca [35 percent each]; tintas barroca, roriz and cão [10 percent each]). The fruit is gentle and ripe, with scents of blueberry and black cherry, the tannins soft, their mineral edge kicked up by acidity. It's structured like a cru Beaujolais grown on schist-a by-the-case buy for casual entertaining." 88 points - Wine & Spirits, April 2007 "Crisp, with pure red plum, mineral and raspberry flavors. Lip-smacking finish of spice, red cherry and maple. Drink now through 2009. 3,000 cases imported." 87 points - Wine Spectator, May 31, 2007

    Sold by: B-21 from USA
