This is one of the best Spanish reds for the dough that we have tasted in quite a while. Jumilla is legendary for producing several of Spain's most sought after wines including the world-class wines of Bodegas El Nido; most notably Clio! We are not trying to convince you that this is on the same level as Clio, but what it does deliver is big fruit, nice freshness, great balance and sensational value. If you need a house red, this is it! Parker wrote: The 2007 Monastrell is even better than the 2006 which received 88 points in Issue 175.
