$ 7.99"Its got a nice, soft entry, with black cherry candy dominating the palate. Theres a slightly burnt, raisiny flavor running through the finish, as if the grapes were a bit roasted, but the tannins are smooth and for the price it drinks well and delivers an extra dollop of intensity. A Best Buy." 86 points - Wine Enthusiast, November 15, 2006

2005 Chateau Ste. Michelle Merlot Columbia Valley
$ 13.00"This is a nicely balanced, tightly constructed effort, a Merlot that will surprise anyone who has not tasted Washington Merlot in this price range. It is miles apart from the herbal, stemmy Merlots of other New World regions, or the vapid, watery $15 junk that comes from our neighbor to the south. This is ripe, full, meaty, structured, laden with plum and cherry, spice and just a hint of herb." 89 points - Wine Enthusiast, June 1, 2009 "Firm in texture, with ripe currant and berry shaded by smoke, coffee and spice nuances as the finish lingers. Drink now through 2012. 160,000 cases made." 88 points - Wine Spectator Web Only 2009

Roger MacWilliamson teamed up with veteran winemaker, Andrew Beckwith, to create 600 cases of this San Benito Merlot. With an added splash of Syrah, this full-bodied Merlot starts with intense berry and mocha flavors, followed by black cherry and currant, ending with a soft, lingering finish. Well structured with lots of black fruit, this wine is soft in acids and tannins making it instantly drinkable. Enjoy! San Benito County is home to some of California’s most prestigious wineries and vineyards including: Pessagno, Williams-Seylem and Wild Horse. It is also home of artisan winemakers, Roger and Kathleen MacWilliamson. In 1997, Roger and Kathleen planted 7 acres of their 76 acre ranch with wine grapes with the intent of handcrafting big, bold , beautiful, “drink me now” style wines. Using Kathleens’s maiden name, they dubbed the eponymous vineyard, “Teague” and a micro-climate, star vineyard was born. . Teague Vineyards is a family-run estate winery that handcrafts small lots of artisan wines. Located in the beautiful Cienega Valley just 25 miles from Monterey Bay, the Teague estate has granite and limestone soils, much like the soils found in the best vineyards in the world. The Pacific Coast provides cooling, maritime breezes that result in vibrant and flavorful wines.
