$ 11.99750 ml. (Ref. ID#=7804612730019) 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Carmenere, and 20% Cabernet Franc. Winemakers Ricardo Rivadeneira and Alejandro Jofre artfully blend the mineral notes and fresh acidity of grapes from the Andes foothills with the ripe tannins and red fruit from the center of the valley, and add richness and body from grapes grown closer to the Pacific Ocean. Whitehall Lane 2005 Pinot Noir Carneros
$ 12.98This is a solid Pinot Noir from a top-notch Napa Valley winery. Known mostly for their Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this is a varietal that Whitehall Lane had great success with in the 2005. About the vintage: The 2005 growing season in Carneros started with cool, wet weather, followed by mild summer months. With ample moisture in the soil and warm days, the Pinot Noir ripened slowly and evenly. The grapes were harvested from the Las Brisas Vineyard and the Sangiacomo Vineyard in the middle of September when the fruit displayed ideal balance and juicy, ripe flavors. Tasting note: The 2005 Whitehall Lane Carneros Pinot Noir is beautifully balanced, displaying aromas and flavors of ripe cherry, strawberry, clove and toasty oak. It is supple, clean and smooth on the mid-palate with a savory crème brulee finish. Enjoyable now and for several years to come. This is a solid bottle of Pinot Noir!
